ALL HANDS on DECK

ALL HANDS on DECK, WE, Not Me Initiative – Plan-Program

Created: January 23, 2010 - MAIN ENGAGEMENTS

Engagement Time: 2010-2020
Engagement Subjects: Education, Technology and Affordable Health Care Law/Implementation

Geographic service area: City of Milwaukee - 190 neighborhoods - 15 Aldermanic Districts - 18 Neighborhood Coordinating Agencies - 44 Business Improvement Districts

Focus: Re-defining, Re-branding and Un-trapping Milwaukeeans of Concentrated Poverty – replacing it with a BOTTOM-UP Recovery for a NEW Middle Class.

Population:  Over half-million people.
Target Audience:  Milwaukeeans, especially African American, other People of Color, Work-Challenged (un-, under-employed; un-, under-skilled, retirees; re-entry – those from incarceration, war and retirement. Our hidden talent focus includes the "disabled").

Over the last fifty (50) years, African Americans have had an increase in poverty that has "trapped" the hopes-aspirations-goals-wealth building of many African American families of:

- The Silent Generation - 1923 - 1940's

- Generation X - Baby Boomers - 1040's -

- Generation Y/Millennial - 1970/80 - 2000

- Generation Z/Net - 1995 - 2010

MPA seeks reform, immediate change with OPERATION Re-boot. It is the Action arm of All Hands on Deck, WE, Not Me Initiative-Plan-Program.

EXPECTATION - To be a "wise" voice and catalyze for BOLD citizen-centered engagement.

To ensure that public policy making always include a blueprint of the infrastructure of neighborhood-level strategic planning and decision making by residential and commercial stakeholders.

To stimulate necessary changes for discovery of "hidden talent", "emerging and culturally diverse stagnant markets", to support transparency and accountability of those elected-appointed-hired-volunteered that facilitate government funds.  To work as a change agent for the 3-Phase public school Education and Technology Trifecta; and, to help ensure that ECP/Enduring Concentrated Poverty is not the "brand" and reason for lack of success in the City of Milwaukee.
